Technics Supports the Paris 2024 Operational Test Event With Official DJ Turntable SL-1210MK7
The Olympic Games Paris 2024 will be the first Olympic Games to include Breaking as a new sport.

Panasonic Corporation today announced that the company participated in the Paris 2024 Operational Test event held at the Champ-de-Mars Arena in Paris, France on August 27 for the Olympic Games Paris 2024. Audio products such as the Technics SL-1210MK7 turntable and the EAH-DJ1200 headphones were used in the operational test for the breaking event.
The Olympic Games Paris 2024 will be the first time in the Olympic Games history that breaking (break dancing) will be included in the competition. Breaking is a dance competition in which a DJ plays improvised music, and the judges evaluate aspects like their technical skills, expressiveness, and composition. Technics will support the breaking competition at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 as the official DJ turntable to bring excitement to the competition with music.
As a TOP partner of the Olympic Games, Panasonic collaborated with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 to confirm the operation of the equipment. The company is steadily preparing for support during the Paris 2024.
